Class of 2030 In-processing Day
Wednesday, June 24
In-Processing Day (I-Day) begins with our four-degree (freshman) cadet-appointees getting dropped off at the Holaday Athletic Center to begin their official in-processing activities. After processing through several stations, including a medical review and taking the Oath of Office, they become Basic Cadets.
Swearing-In Ceremony
Thursday, June 25
Stillman Field
The Basic Cadets’ Swearing-In Ceremony is typically held the day after In-Processing Day and is conducted by the commandant of cadets. Family members and guests are welcome to attend. Basic Cadets will form on the parade field by flight, starting with Flight (A) on the left and ending with the last flight, typically Flight H, on the right. To ensure you’re sitting in the best location to see your cadet, please verify your cadet’s flight information before attending. Please note that contact with Basic Cadets is not permitted during or after the ceremony.
March Out to Jacks Valley
Sunday, July 12
Basic Cadets from the Class of 2030 march to Jacks Valley to begin the second phase of Basic Cadet Training. There, they live in a field environment and assemble their own tent encampments. Second BCT challenges cadets with activities such as the assault course, obstacle course and leadership reaction course.
March Back from Jacks Valley
Friday, July 24
Basic Cadets from the Class of 2030 will march back from Jacks Valley to the Cadet Area after completing field training.
